XXXTentacion's Ex-Girlfriend And Reported Victim 'Broken' Following His Death
"I honestly don’t care for any of the hype. I lost someone close to me."
Geneva Alaya posted on what’s believed to be her Twitter account, revealing she’s ‘broken’ over the 20-year-old’s untimely death.
“I honestly don’t care for any of the hype. I lost someone close to me. Leave me alone,” reads one post.
“It’s disgusting that people are speaking for me,” she added. “I don’t care if no one cared about me however many months ago, I didn’t lose my life. He did. It’s permanent. I’m still here. Like how do you think that makes me feel? Everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! No, I’m broken.”
Just hours following the artist’s shooting outside of a motorcycle dealership in Miami, Alaya mourned the loss of her former flame over Instagram, posting a video of X’s dreadlocks. She captioned it “It isn't real. Come back.”
She later posted a screenshot on Instagram playing X’s song ‘Alone’ with the caption, “You were never alone. You never will be,” as well as a photo of a makeshift memorial she made for the rapper at his vigil, where she said she was “kicked out” after 25 minutes.
It comes after Alaya accused the rapper -- real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy -- of beating her so severely while she was pregnant with the pair’s child that she was left nearly blind when her eye socket was fractured.
“He’s like, ‘You need to tell me the truth right now or I’ll kill you and this [kid],'” Ayala told the Miami New Times.
She also detailed a particularly distressing incident in which the deceased threatened to sexually assault her with a barbecue pitchfork.
“[He showed me] a long-handled barbecue fork and a wire barbecue brush... He was like, 'Which one do you want me to use?'" She recounted to a prosecutor.
"He told me to pick between the two, because he was going to put one of them up my vagina."
When she chose the fork, Onfroy allegedly began pulling up her dress and lightly dragging the fork against her thigh. Geneva then passed out.
In the official deposition, she states that X punched, slapped, elbowed, strangled, and head-butted her for an estimated fifteen minutes. He reportedly took her phone following the attack and left her in a room for two days, until she escaped and contacted police.
Onfroy was later charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
X later accused his former girlfriend of being “mentally ill” in a telephone interview.
“She’s actually clinically ill”, he said. “She actually was in a mental hospital and it was never thoroughly released, and this was information I actually [tried to] kept it to myself.”
A representative for the Broward County Sheriff’s Department told Variety that there were no updates regarding suspects or a motive for the murder of XXXTentacion as of yet and the investigation is ongoing.
