Tori Spelling Slammed For Editing Photo While Promoting Body Positivity
Proudly posting a swimsuit snap on her Instagram, Tori Spelling boasted to her 1.1 million followers on Instagram about her bangin’ body transformation.
And why shouldn’t she? After five kids, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star is looking fit and fabulous for 45.
“After having my 5th baby I have to admit my body didn’t bounce back the way it did with the first 4! But I’ve been working at it and eating and playing to live my best life and I feel like it’s showing,” Tori captioned the photo.
“Back in a one piece minus the coverup or shorts finally! Part of this transformation in progress is my husband @imdeanmcdermott makes me feel great about myself no matter what weight I’m at. And, I’m finally loving seeing my hard work start to pay off! Thanks Body! We Got this,” she continued.
There was just one problem -- while her message was supposed to be all about body positivity, eagle-eyed fans noticed that there were some tell-tale signs that the star had used some digital trickery that made her arms and legs appear slimmer, with her skin also looking suspiciously smooth.
“Why is this Photoshopped?? If you’re proud and comfortable you don’t need Photoshop hun, we as women need to empower each other not tear us down, much love and God Bless,” one user wrote.
"So sad… Be proud of that body that housed all your babies…no need for the BAD photoshop, you look gorgeous without it," another said.
Others came to the actress’ defense, encouraging fellow commenters to ‘be kind’.
"You look wonderful, too bad there are so many trolls on your page. I hope you don't take these comments seriously. God bless," one comment read.
Following the whole kerfuffle, Tori erased the post.
It comes following the news that Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, will star in The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time, which is out next month.
