Film and TV enthusiasts will have a chance to own a piece of their favourite movies and shows with an upcoming auction showcasing the most diverse collection of entertainment memorabilia ever released.

“This covers everything -- if you're a collector and you can't find something in this auction, I don't know what you're looking for because, you name the movie, the TV show, there's something from it,” says Joe Maddalena, CEO of Profiles in History.

There are more than 2000 items from productions dating back to the 1932 version of Tarzan, right up until the more recent film of Batman V Superman with Ben Affleck in 2016.

One of the more interesting pieces appeared in two iconic films -- a chest, used in Star Wars to home Luke Skywalker’s iconic lightsabre,  and in the 1978 version of Superman, filled with Kryptonite.

Terminator 2 fans can splurge on the Harley Davidson Arnold Schwarzenegger rode, and pair it with the leather jacket from the first movie --  the bike's estimated value is between $250,000 and $400,000.

If you’re looking for something with a little more room, the bus from Speed is also estimated to be sold for about $25,000.

Fans of classic Hollywood films can bid on clothing worn by the legendary James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor in Giant, while Gone With The Wind fans can try their luck bidding on historical costumes used in the film.

Sci-Fi fans won't be disappointed, with props from Star Trek and Aliens available. A Death Star from Star Wars is expected to start at about $200,000  and models of C-3PO and Darth Vader are available.

The auction will run from June 5 to June 8 in LA but eager fans who can't get there can still make a bid online with the auctioneer Profiles In History.
