The Backstreet Boys Performed As The Spice Girls In The Most Epic '90s Crossover Ever

Are you ever sitting at home gazing over your collection of '90s memorabilia, missing those bygone days? Well throw those troubles away like a Tamagotchi you forgot to feed, this story will restore your soul.

So apparently the Backstreet Boys are not only currently on a fan cruise, but they're on their SIXTH fan cruise?! Who even knew that was a thing. Apparently the four-day trip from Miami to Grand Turk Island includes meet and greets, themed parties and two performances a day!

Well one of those performances was made even more special when Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell headed to the stage dressed as the Spice Girls.

The band captioned a photo on Instagram with, "Celebrating all of the girl power that's kept us going for 25 years," adding the hashtag #SpiceBoys.

Carter, dressed as Emma Bunton, even got the official seal of approval from Baby Spice on Twitter.

Carter apparently decided it made sense for him to don Baby's pigtails and platforms because he "has the nicest legs in the group".

The Spice Boys delighted the crowd on board the S.S. Nostalgia (not the actual name but it SHOULD be) by lip syncing to some of the Spice Girls' greatest hits and honestly, what a truly wild ride.

They also decided that, in the spirit of throwbacks, what's a nostalgia trip without a bit of Britney Spears?!

While the Backstreet Boys may be delighting fans on the open seas, the Spice Girls have been teasing a potential reunion for months. Speculation hit a fever pitch when Bunton shared a photo of all five reunited in February with a caption that read, "the future is looking spicy".

Speaking on the panel show Loose Women this week, Mel B hinted that a reunion could be closer than we ever thought.

"We are in the works of figuring stuff out," she said on the show, "All five of us have signed with Simon Fuller... it's all very exciting".

"If it was up to me we'd go on tour immediately. Maybe we will soon... hopefully!"
