Quick-Thinking Policemen Save Young Man's Life

Two policemen in the U.S. is being praised as hero for saving the life of a young man.

Traffic Unit Officer Brian Rehg and his partner Lieutenant Chris McCartner from Knox County Sheriff's Office were involved in the heart-stopping incident on April 8.

The two policeman were talking to a young man on a bridge in Knoxville, Tennesse, when during a conversation, the man tried to jump off the bridge.

The quick-thinking actions of Rehg and McCartner saved the life of the young man.

The pair managed to grab hold of the man and held on to him until they could pull him back on to the ground.

The entire incident was caught on bodycam, which was released by the Knox County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday.

Sheriff Tom Spangler praised the pair, and said the "vigilance and quick actions" meant the young man is alive today.

"Both Lt. McCarter and Officer Rehg are true local heroes, not just because of this one incident but because they continue to risk their lives daily for the safety of others," Spangler said in a statement.
