Travelex Suspends Services After 'Cyber-Attack'

International foreign currency exchange Travelex has confirmed it had suspended some services following a malware attack on New Year's Eve.

It's understood the U.K. based company, which operates in Australia, took some websites offline to stop the spread following a cyber-attack.

The company's U.K website was offline on Friday morning, showing a "server error" instead.

The incident happened during the peak holiday season.

The issue has also caused problems for customers in Australia, France and the U.S.

Multiple customers have tweeted complaints at the service to report issues.

Travelex has been contacted for comment.
