Vatican Introduces eRosary Bracelet For Prayer
The Catholic Church is using technology to connect with young worshippers.
The Vatican has released a 'Click To Pray eRosary', for Catholics to pray the rosary for peace in the world, Vatican News said.
The smart device bracelet connects to the official prayer app of the Pope and is activated by making the sign of the Cross.
"Aimed at the peripheral frontiers of the digital world where the young people dwell, the Click To Pray eRosary serves as a technology-based teaching tool to help young people pray the Rosary for peace and to contemplate the Gospel," Vatican News said.

When activated, users can choose to pray a standard rosary, a contemplative rosary or different thematic rosaries that will be updated on the app every year.
The bracelet, which features a large crucifix and 10 beads, is made from black agate and hematite.
When connected to the app, the user can track their progress throughout the mysteries of the rosary.
Each of the three decades of the rosary (10 beads) represents a different mystery -- Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious mysteries.
The bracelet is part of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network, which is intended to mobilise Catholics around the world through prayer.
It was designed by GadgeTek Inc. and will cost $160.
