Incredible AFL Photo Goes Viral, Rivals Iconic Tayla Harris Kick
The iconic photo of AFLW star Tayla Harris will be remembered as the day women's sport changed in Australia.
It's hard to think there could be a photo this year that could rival the breathtaking athleticism of Harris' moment.
But there is a new competitor in town, in the form of St George AFC Women's player Erin Wardrop.
During her team's division three grand final against Holroyd Parramatta Goannas on Saturday, Wardrop was captured going in for a spoil.
But the athleticism on display made it no ordinary spoil.
The picture shows Wardrop with her legs in a perfect split as she leaps above the ground, in an effort that hurts just to think about.
ALF NSW/ACT posted the photo online, and it has since gone viral.

With Harris' kick immortalised as a statue in Melbourne last week, there have instantly been calls for Wardrop's moment to join it.
"When's the statue being built?" said one person.
"That deserves a statue!" agreed another.
Even Statues for Equality, a not-for-profit organisation that campaigns for more statues of historical women to balance gender equality have got on board.
"Wow, Erin Wardrop to be the next AFL female statue," it said on Instagram.
Harris also got behind her fellow AFL player, posting "Yes Queen" on a post of the photo.

For the record, Wardrop's were crowned champions with a 10.6 (66) to 7.12 (54) win over the Goannas.
