MLS side LA Galaxy appeared to have a new signing when they played Toronto FC on Thursday night.

Wearing the number 9 shirt for Galaxy was 'IRBAHIMOVIC'.

So who was the new player? It was, of course, Zlatan IBRAHIMOVIC, who has played for European giants Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG in his long career.

Fans were quick to point out the spelling mistake in the Swedish player's name, with a few jokes along the way.

The spelling mistake didn't faze Ibrahimovic, who scored two late goals to secure Galaxy's 2-0 win over Toronto.

To celebrate the Swede had a crack at the viral Bottle Cap Challenge in the dressing room.

And in true Ibrahimovic fashion, in one swift quick kick he had the bottle cap flying across the room.

He even nominated former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba to try the challenge afterwards.

Ibrahimovic was a marquee signing for Galaxy in 2018, and has been nominated in this season's Best MLS Player category at U.S. sport awards, the ESPYS.
