Police are working to identify a man who allegedly followed a number of women into female toilets and showers, in a string of suspicious incidents across Perth this week.

Police said a man followed several different women into female toilets -- including a staff toilet -- at a Claremont shopping centre in Peth's west over the last week.

The same man also followed women into the shower area of a backpacker hostel in Perth, police allege.
