Eight-Month-Old Baby Injured In Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

An eight-month-old boy has been injured after his parents were allegedly fighting on a street in the southern NSW town of Leeton.

A 32-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman have been charged after the alleged fight took place at around 9 pm on Wednesday.

Paramedics who attended the scene examined the eight-month-old boy, finding him to be lethargic and non-responsive.

He was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for further treatment and is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad have gone to the hospital and have opened an investigation.

The man has been granted strict conditional bail at Leeton Local Court and is due to re-appear at the same court on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old woman has been refused bail and is expected to appear at Griffith Local Court later on Friday.
