Melbourne Woman Dies From Stab Wounds, Man Charged With Murder

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found with stab wounds in Melbourne's southeastern suburbs.

Paramedics were unable to save the woman, believed to be aged in her 40s, after she was found at a property in Seaford on Tuesday afternoon with stab wounds.

A 44-year-old man was arrested and later charged with murder.

Police believe the victim and the accused are known to each other.

He is expected to front Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
