'I Just Want My Baby Back': Distraught Mum Of Killed Toddler Speaks Out
The mother of a toddler allegedly murdered in Melbourne just wants her baby back.
Stacie Saggers, 34, was distraught as she spoke with reporters while returning to collect belongings from her Langwarrin home on Wednesday.
"I miss him so much. I just want my baby back," she said, in tears.
Saggers found her two-year-old toddler Jaidyn Gomes unresponsive at the house on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews received reports he had been injured, but were unable to revive him.
Neighbours heard screaming between a man and a woman before authorities arrived on Monday afternoon.
Saggers' partner, 32-year-old Brendan Pallan, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with murder over the boy's death.
Police also arrested Saggers, but she was released without charge and is not believed to be involved in the incident.
She said she'll remember her little boy as "our little Snuffles".
More than a dozen floral tributes and toy trucks have been laid outside the family home. One note reads, "rest easy, little one".
Pallan did not appear in court on Thursday and did not apply for bail.
