WATCH: Man Headbutts Cop After Crashing Car Into Police Station

A man was filmed headbutting a police officer after crashing a car into a police station in Melbourne's north.

The car crashed through the roller door at Reservoir station and landed on top of a parked police car, just before 11 am on Thursday.

The driver -- who was able to get out the crashed car -- was filmed struggling with four officers and headbutting one of them before he was taken into custody.

The police station was evacuated as a precaution, with road closures also put in place for a short time.

The driver is expected to face multiple charges.

Police have stressed the incident didn't pose a threat to the wider community.
