French Tourist Arrested After Peeing On Anzac Memorial

A French tourist has been charged after allegedly taking a leak on Sydney's Anzac Memorial building. 

The man, 22, was allegedly walking through Hyde Park in the city's CBD just before 10pm on Tuesday when he approached the eastern side of the building and urinated on it.

Police arrested him, and he was later charged with committing an offensive act in or on a war memorial/ internment site.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday January 15.
