Gruesome Discovery On Melbourne Footpath

The body of a man has been discovered in a residential street in Melbourne's east.

Emergency services were called to Browning Street in Kilsyth just after 9am Wednesday morning.

They found the man lying on the pavement with a number of wounds to his body.

Victoria Police have confirmed that they are treating the death as suspicious.

Homicide squad detectives have spent the morning scouring a nearby oval and searching through bins for any evidence.

One neighbour told 10 News First that there had been problems in the area with drugs.
