Community Hunts For 'Chris' After Bizarre Public Messages
In an attempt to save their public spaces, people in a small community are desperate for a man named 'Chris' to call the woman he's apparently having a baby with.
People in Frankston, Melbourne, were shocked to find purple scrawl covering public barbecues, the back of toilet doors and even entire walls -- each time with the same message.
“Chris, you need to talk to me before the baby’s born, or don’t bother after.”
A number of people in Frankston noticed the messages, and images were posted to the Frankston Community Noticeboard Facebook group along with a plea to Chris.
"Chris... Can you please just call her before she destroys the whole city?"
The group also reminded community members to always report graffiti to the local council.
The post has attracted a whopping 1,400 comments and has been shared over 200 times -- but there's still no sign of the elusive Chris.
People have been tagging their friends who are also called 'Chris' -- jokingly telling them to call their respective partners or asking them if they are the father to be.
Others joked that "communication is so important in a relationship" while here was speculation that 'Chris' might be the mother of the child -- and the father is responsible for the graffitied messages.

Another person even suggested Chris could have no relation to the baby at all and instead could be a medical professional.
“Chris is her obstetrician or midwife. It would definitely be too late for them to get in contact after her baby was born.”
When contacted by 10 daily, Victoria Police said they were following the matter up.
Frankston Council has also been contacted for comment.
