Rome Airport Shut After 150Kg Of WWII Bombs Found
The Army bomb squad tried to defuse WWII bomb after finding it half hidden in the ground.
Rome's Ciampino airport was temporarily closed on Thursday after three World War II-era German bombs were discovered during maintenance work.
Italy's Defence Ministry said army experts were working on safely removing the bombs, which have a total weight of 150 kilograms (330 pounds).

Airport operator Aeroporti di Roma said the bombs were found on Thursday during maintenance work on the tarmac.
Some flights to Ciampino would be diverted to Rome's larger Fiumicino airport.
Ciampino was expected to reopen later on Thursday.
This isn't the first time World War II-era bombs were found.
In 2018 around 23,000 people were evacuated in the central Italian town of Fano after the discovery.
