Fulton was born in 1924 in Scotland and moved with her family to Australia when she was just three. She inspired generations of home cooks with her books including the classic 'Margaret Fulton Cookbook'.

Her granddaughter Louise Keats paid tribute to Fulton on her 94th birthday in October last year, celebrating the milestone with oysters, champagne and chocolate cake.

She won the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1983 for her services to the field of cookery.

More to come.
